Last night I tried out a new Fox half hour comedy called Do Not Disturb. I had high hopes for this because I love Jerry O'Connell and Niecy Nash, but it was kind of a stinker. Here's the gist: Jerry is a sex-crazed, general manager of a hotel and Niecy is his suffering human resource director trying to keep a random cast of hotel workers in line.
There were a few funnies, mostly from Jerry, but they were few and far between. Niecy is so hilarious on Reno 911 that it's hard to accept her in the semi-straight role. I'll give it another watch because first episodes are rarely home runs, but if I had to bet my money I'd bet this one doesn't make it to the new year.
